Elman Authement released his
first solo CD in September. The album is in the
genre of Contemporary Christian and is titled
“Glorious Songs.” It contains ten original
songs, all written by Elman. Elman is one of the
primary songwriters for the three TFC (
Thibodaux Family Church ) albums released over
the last four years. Folks in the
Houma , LA area regularly see his work
performed on
HTV. Artists in Tennessee , Texas , and
Florida have covered his songs.

Lyn Cantrelle has two albums
released in the last four years. This is quite
an accomplishment for an independent artist!
Her music is very popular in the east, the Far
East, like Japan! She gets royalty checks every
month from ITune sales of her albums and the
majority of those sales come from abroad! This
just in: Lyn finished the fourteenth and final
track on her third album! This album is
a collection of
classic country songs. Release is
expected very soon! She’s still not finished!
She’s already started work on an album that will
contain mostly original songs!
Joyous Sounds is wrapping up the
production of a
Christmas album. It should go to
mastering before November 1st. The
album contains some of the seasonal classics but
also has some original songs penned by leader
and songwriter Kevin Gaubert. Joyous Sounds
released an album in 2008 titled “As One
Voice”.
Dean Shoultz is a
guitarist/songwriter/singer and CTO of a very
successful software company. He also just
released his
debut solo album! The album has ten
tracks of mostly original songs written by Dean
(the title track is “All the Pretty Horses” and
is a classic children’s ballad).
Contemporary Christian band
More Than Sunday released their
self-titled debut CD in August. The band is
lead by guitar wizard Lonnie Lapeyrouse. It
contains ten highly inspirational cover songs!

Drew Rice continues adding to his
extensive catalog of original songs. He
released his
debut album “Uncharted
Waters” in 2004 to awesome reviews.
Since, he’s written and recorded (fully
produced) almost thirty more songs! Drew
continues to attract the attention of a bunch of
Nashville cats.

Eric Geibel is adding to his
catalog of original songs. Eric has been in the
studio consistently since 2006. His first album
release “Just the Other Day” continues to get
rave reviews. He topped the Cashbox Indie
charts this summer with the song “Trouble Knows
I’m Here” His latest offering “Never Forgotten”
has been played on FM radio stations around the
country!

Jenna Nicole has been in the
studio since last February. So far, she has
recorded five songs from various songwriters.
Her
MySpace site has gotten tens of thousands
of plays this year! Jenna is invited to
Nashville, Branson, and other
country music venues consistently.
However, she does most of her recording in
Houma, Louisiana. Proof again you can
keep your money local and get world-class
results!
Creole Kid is in the studio
working on his debut album. Have you ever heard

Pamela George is in the studio
recording original songs. So far, she’s
recorded two songs and more are on the way!

Hugh Watson officially released
his debut album “The
Drowning Man” on December 3, 2008. The
CD has sold out twice on CDBaby- his online
international distributor! His MySpace player
gets plays that are normally reserved for acts
signed by record companies! Along with his
electronic distribution, a regional convenience
store picked up the album for distribution to
over 30 locations. The locations are in South
Louisiana and Mississippi . Hugh is back in the
studio working on the follow-up.
Ron “Black” Guidry is considered
a local (South Louisiana) spokesperson for the
Cajun culture. He has a successful swamp tour
business. For years, Black has been
entertaining audiences of all ages with his
‘storytelling’ songs.
MTV featured him in March on the program
“How’s Your News.” Black has a new album out
titled “Du Lac You Want!” It’s a must-have!
Ken Wells is well known in South
Louisiana even though he’s been living outside
of Cajun country since the late ‘70’s. He
returns here every given opportunity. Ken has
an outstanding list of credits: Four novels
with
Random House (all about life in South
Louisiana), he’s a Pulitzer Prize finalist,
former editor for the Wall Street Journal and
Conde Nast Portfolio, has one book with Yale
Press, and two books published by Wall Street
Journal books! Ken is also a dedicated
songwriter and is half of the eclectic
Cajun/Americana band Crawdiddy. Ken became a
“Louisiana Legend” this past
summer. He also just won the
Harry Chapin Award!
Martin Folse has been a regular in the
studio for almost six years! He has an album of
all original songs out now! He’s been back in
the studio cutting some New Orleans Saints
related tracks!

Glenn Chance was in the studio and
recorded a cover of the Heart classic “These
Dreams”.

Richie Toups is currently working
on a new track for his next CD. Richie released
“The Right Time” in 2007.
Lindsay Mendez is about to
release her debut album “Reaching Out”. Lindsay
chose songs from some very talented songwriters
out of Nashville. She also chose the Crawdiddy
classic “South Louisiana.” Some of the album
was cut at Digital Sac-a’-Lait Productions.
Sunburst
Media hired Digital Sac-a’-Lait Productions to
produce a jingle for a local swimming pool
company. The project was completed in August.
The
studio is moving into a larger place as of
November 15, 2009. Digital Sac-a’-Lait
Productions has successfully catered to
songwriters- 39 album releases and going!
However, the larger space will accommodate a
diversity of clients such as bands or large
ensembles.
